This One Minor Tweak Will Overhaul the Stability of Your Seekins Precision Rifle

Say you have a rifle outfitted with a Seekins Precision Hunter chassis. This chassis is compatible with a number of popular rifles such as the Remington 700, Tikka rifles, and selected Seekins rifles such as the Element M3.

The Seekins Precision Hunter Chassis is specifically designed for backcountry hunters, hence the name. It is not a repurposed tactical chassis (or stock). It has been expressly designed with the needs of hunters in mind.

For instance, it sports a traditional hunting forend, not a tactical forend that’s littered with slots. With that said, it does have plenty of M-LOK slots for adding shooting attachments and accessories.

It also features a folding stock design with a slim, snag-free profile that is ideal for moving through close country with a minimal risk of hanging up on brush, or adding extra weight, for that matter.

This chassis also sports an adjustable cheek piece, which is critical for getting an appropriate fit to a hunter, upholding a high degree of accuracy which is critical in the field, especially when committing to long-range shots.

Even so, the Seekins Precision Hunter chassis is outfitted with a few modern improvements. Unlike most hunting rifle stocks, this chassis is equipped with an AR-style grip that offers better, more precise control and which reduces fatigue, helping to improve accuracy in concert with the chassis’s other features.

But there is one thing you can do to this chassis, an upgrade you can make, if you will, that will further improve stability and thereby performance.

It is also something that comes from Seekins Precision. Take notes.

Enter the Seekins Precision Hunter Chassis Bag Rider

The Seekins Precision Hunter Chassis Bag Rider is about as simple a stock upgrade as they come. It’s basically a small strip of high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum that affixes to the rear base of the stock.

As a bag rider, it can be used in conjunction with shooting bags if you’re running them. It will slip underneath easily and provide a high degree of stability, helping to secure the rifle in place on your shooting platform, whether it’s a bench or just the ground.

It also gives you consistent, superior rear support without requiring you to carry the extra weight of a fully-outfitted tactical stock. You get a lighter, more stable, more modular stock, and there is no catch.

At only 2 ounces, it provides excellent lateral stability from basically any shooting position as well, even if you are not running shooting bags. Ultimately, it reduces wobble, improves rear end control, and results in a consistently more stable shooting platform.

It’s also easy to install, reasonably affordable, and will add almost no weight or bulk, which means there’s effectively no reason for you not to configure your rifle with one assuming you have a Seekins Precision Hunter Chassis.

You just need to know where to get it.
