The Nocpix RICO 3 PRO L35R: The Perfect Entry Point into the Series

A thermal scope is often an indispensable piece of gear for a night hunter, especially one pursuing a furbearer in the cold, or one doing a lot of high volume hug hunting wherein quick, accurate target identification is essential.

It’s just that thermal scopes can be very expensive, and sometimes you just don’t need the bells and whistles that come with some of the more premium, high-end scopes.

That being the case, sometimes what’s warranted is a thermal scope that, while it still offers excellent performance, speed and visual clarity, won’t break the bank quite as bad as one of its more premium cousins.

One of the best options in that ring actually comes out of the new Nocpix RICO 3 PRO lineup. It’s the L35R from the series. Here’s what it offers and why it represents a relatively affordable, yet still high-performance, option.

Introducing the Nocpix RICO 3 PRO L35R

The heart of the Nocpix RICO 3 PRO L35R is a 12μm thermal sensor with a resolution of 384×288, which offers powerful performance and clarity despite the fact that the sensor resolution is not exceptionally high.

Like other Nocpix thermal scopes (including those in the RICO 3 PRO series) it’s also enhanced with Reality+ 2.0 Image Processing which reduces visual noise and increases the clarity and detail of the sight picture, delivering it to a high-quality AMOLED display.

In addition, the RICO 3 PRO L35R offers night hunters the leverage of a 1600 yard laser rangefinder, easily outpacing the competition with its power, range, and precision. Paired with the L35R’s onboard ballistic calculator, night hunters can take more precise estimations of range and execute more accurate shots with greater confidence than ever before.

The Nocpix RICO 3 PRO L35R also delivers long-lasting performance, even under adverse conditions. It comes with an NBP-8 battery that is engineered to deliver long-lasting power for uninterrupted nighttime hunting. Under ideal conditions it can deliver up to 10 hours of battery life, and even in extreme cold can last up to 7.

In addition, the RICO 3 PRO L35R offers some other value-added features, such as a durable yet lightweight construction from rugged magnesium alloy, recoil-activated video capabilities, and a picture-in-picture mode.

This Nocpix thermal scope is also capable of magnetic charging thanks to a special port, comes with a spare battery, and features quick-detach mounting capabilities.

Where to Learn More About This Nocpix Thermal Scope

While the Nocpix RICO 3 PRO L35R is the most affordable and accessible scope in the series, it preserves the core performance and experience offered by it, making it one of the highest value Nocpix scopes available today, especially for the price.

But, if you’re not sure if it will meet your needs, have questions before you buy, or would rather get a personalized recommendation, especially considering the price of thermal optics, visit Dark Night Outdoors or contact them at 309-781-8421.
