Looking for Houses for Sale in Grand Cayman? Consider These Points First

You’ve landed here because you are considering buying a house on Grand Cayman. Trust us when we say that we are glad you did land here– and are excited for your next real estate adventure!

Before you dive headlong into hunting for and sifting through houses for sale in Grand Cayman, there are some key points that you need to consider first and foremost. In doing so, you will greatly decrease your number of legitimate housing options, therefore decreasing the stress of having to choose between numerous houses.

So you definitely want to invest in a house on Grand Cayman. Now what? You should first consider:

City life, Beachlife, or Inland?
Grand Cayman has both city living and beach living available to match any resident’s needs and expectations. George Town is located on the island and is the territory’s capital city, which has a population of just over 29,000.

The population of this city is quite low in terms of city populations, but that can be construed as a positive for city residents. This is because the city isn’t too “overpopulated” or “overcrowded,” leaving you with a city that is simple to navigate with a laidback island atmosphere while still providing you with the countless fun activities and excursions you desire!

If you don’t want to live the “city life” in George Town, there are plenty of other locations to consider. For example, if you’d prefer to live a “beach life” (and who could blame you wanting such in the Caribbean?), consider Seven Mile Beach. This one location is very near to George Town, but provides you with one of the greatest beaches in the world (it has won several awards for its beauty!).

With all that being said, we believe you should consider between city life or beachlife first and foremost. But, you should also consider if you’d rather live more inland amongst the stunning tropical landscape!

Location on the Island
There are plenty of locations where you could live on Grand Cayman! The island has five districts: West Bay, George Town, Bodden Town, East End, and North Side. As the majority of amenities on the island are located in George Town and the Seven Mile Beach area, these two locations are among the most popular areas to live. Some desirable locations in these areas are the Seven Mile Beach Corridor, South Sound, Red Bay, and Prospect. Other popular areas are Savannah, Lower Valley, and Rum Point.

We highly recommend you check out a map for further understanding of the locations of these places, their distance from the capital, and what their communities are like!

View from Your Home
Whenever anyone invests in real estate, one of the most important considerations to take into account is the view. You want to be able to peer out your windows and doors daily and be washed over with a feeling of ease, comfort, and overall happiness.

When checking our houses for sale in Grand Cayman, be sure to investigate what their views are like. You could choose waterfront, water view, beach view, and more. Your home could even be located directly on the beachfront, canalfront, or more inland for a peaceful natural surrounding.
