7 Reasons a CheyTac M200 Intervention Rifle May Be the Best Long-Range Rifle for You

Some rifle platforms are so highly regarded and so expensive that they are surrounded by an air of mystique. Many shooters have heard of the CheyTac M200 Intervention rifle, not so many have shot one, at least outside of Call of Duty.

Yet it is a real rifle, and it is one of the best long range rifles that has ever been developed. Some have even called it the best.

Long-range rifle shooters that are considering investing in a platform that will push the envelope of the possible should seriously look into the M200 Intervention. Here are 7 reasons why.

1. Effective range

The CheyTac M200 Intervention rifle has an effective range of 2500m, if not even longer, in the hands of a skilled shooter. It can engage a man-sized target at these ranges, making it one of the best long-range rifles, period.

2. Balanced Flight Projectiles

With the CheyTac M200 Intervention, it’s not just about the effective range of the cartridge but the accuracy of both with which it is paired, which are the .408 and .375 CT cartridges.

These cartridges are loaded with CNC-machined, solid-copper Balanced Flight Projectiles that have high ballistic coefficients and which remain supersonic for longer, staying out of the transonic zone for longer.

Remaining supersonic for longer increases the chances that the bullet stays supersonic to the target, upholding a high degree of accuracy.

3. Interchangeable barrels

With a CheyTac M200 Intervention you basically get two rifles; one chambered in .375 CT and the other in .408 CT, since it comes with interchangeable barrels.

The .408 CT has a slightly lower muzzle velocity and faster drop, but will carry more energy to the target for more effective dispatch.

The .375 shoots faster and flatter, potentially keeping it supersonic for longer, and slightly more accurate at extreme ranges.

4. Recoil reduction

There are two elements to this. One is that the rifle comes with a threaded barrel and a muzzle brake that can substantially reduce recoil.

The other is the weight of the rifle. The CheyTac M200 Intervention alone weighs 31 pounds even without the scope. That helps to absorb recoil on its own.

5. Adjustability to the shooter

No rifle could be a contender for the title of “best long range rifle” without a high degree of adjustability that mimicked a custom fit.

The CheyTac M200 Intervention has a highly adjustable stock with adjustments for length of pull and comb height to accomplish a near-custom fit.

6. Built-in stability

Forget sandbags and shooting rests (although you can use them if you want). The CheyTac Intervention M200 comes with a bipod, but more importantly, a monopod on the bottom of the stock, which creates an integral tripod.

In other words, you can shoot from a level shooting surface almost regardless of the conditions, whether you have a bench, or the ground is level, or not.

7. Customizability

One of the cool things about this extreme long-range rifle is that, while it’s available in standard finishes like black and FDE like so many other models, this one can be customized.

The M200 Intervention is available with a variety of custom finishes, which is nice, because if you’re going to spend this sort of money, you might as well get something customized.

Where Can You Get a CheyTac M200 Intervention Rifle?

If you’re going to shell out the dough for a CheyTac Intervention M200, do it through B&B Firearms. They carry this and other extreme long-range rifles, but more importantly, they offer an interest-free payment plan. You can learn more on their website or get in touch with them for more details.

Businesses Risk More Than Fines When Braille Signs Are Missing

Most businesses don’t pay attention to Braille signs until a failed inspection, an accessibility complaint, a renovation delay, or a lawsuit suddenly forces the issue. Property owners often assume accessible signage can wait because customers rarely mention it directly, but missing ADA-compliant signs quickly lead to legal costs, operational headaches, frustrated visitors, and expensive retrofits […]
