About the CheyTacⓇ M200 Intervention: Price

If you landed on this page because you love long-range shooting and always wanted a rifle like the big boys have, the CheyTac M200 Intervention is a prime contender.

It’s an expensive rifle, but it gets the job done, and it can engage targets (effectively!) at more than 2000 yards. That’s more than a mile.

To back up a bit, yes, the rifle is expensive. But what is a reasonable CheyTac M200 Intervention price, and in terms of price alone, what else do you have to consider before buying?

This (very) short post will help break down some of those details.

How Much Does the Rifle Cost?

The most obvious cost here is the price of the rifle itself. The platform will run you somewhere between $11,500 and $15,000, depending on where you buy it and what, if any, customizations you make.

That alone is comparable to the price of a car or boat (some types, at least).

But the CheyTac M200 Intervention’s price is not just locked up in the action and chassis. You have also to consider the price of ammo.

Don’t Forget the Price of Ammo

When you buy a CheyTac M200 Intervention, you are almost definitely going to get two barrels. One is chambered in .375 CT and the other in .408 CT, both of which are extreme long-range cartridges loaded to tight tolerances, with CNC-machined, solid copper bullets.

The price of loading these cartridges should not be underestimated, and each shot will cost you more than $10, depending on where you buy your ammo.

The other thing is that, while the brass can in theory be reloaded, a single shot produces so much pressure that the case neck erodes significantly, in some cases, to the point that it should not be reloaded because it is no longer safe to do so.

So keep that in mind – if you shoot a lot, you could (fairly) quickly eclipse the price of the rifle just in the cost of ammo.

Extras That Are Covered (Plus One Note)

While the rifle and ammo are expensive, there are some bases that most places have covered if you buy a CheyTac M200 Intervention.

For one, the nature of the stock has an integrated bipod, so you won’t need one of those. The rifle also usually comes with two barrels and a custom case, so you should be covered there.

One more thing: don’t underestimate the price of a good optic, which can cost several thousand dollars.

Buy from a Seller That Offers a Payment Plan

One way to make the CheyTac M200 Intervention’s price reasonable is to buy from a distributor like B&B Firearms that offers interest-free payment plans. You put down 20% and pay off the balance over the coming weeks. That’s one way to drive down the cost.

Price notwithstanding, though, there is hardly a better extreme long-range rifle in the world. For more information visit the above link and get in touch with their customer service for questions related to price or payment.
