About the Smoke Green “Hulk”: New From Project X Golf Shafts

Players that love the Project X HZRDUS Black simply must learn more about the new Smoke Green if they haven’t yet.

This relatively new release from True Temper sports the latest engineering from True Temper and is helping to redefine Project X golf shafts.

Low Launch, Lower Than Ever Spin, Unrivaled Stiffness and Stability
The Project X Smoke Green is the company’s stiffest golf shaft yet, bar none, and is engineered for players with the fastest swing speeds and the most aggressive tempos.

With the stiffest profile in the whole lineup, the Project X Green Smoke also offers exceptional stability. It resists ovaling and is stable enough to stand up to the most aggressive swings.

Affectionately known as the “Hulk,” this Project X golf shaft is about more than just stiffness and stability. It is equal parts launch and spin profile – at least what makes it such a gem for golfers.

Not only is the “Hulk” stiff and stable, it also produces ridiculously low launch and spin profiles.

Low-launching, this Project X golf shaft produces straight, penetrating drives that go the distance, while hardly producing an arc.

But the “Hulk” produces barely any spin, too. While some golfers rely on spin-generated lift to produce extra carry distance, the Hulk is not about that.

Instead, it drives straight with minimal spin, and relies solely on swing speed and energy transfer. The truth is that too much spin is seldom a good thing, even if it carries the ball further.

With greater spin, often comes greater shot dispersion, not just greater carry distance. You need near ideal swing mechanics to minimize shot dispersion with a high-spin shaft – and not everyone can pull that off.

Either way, this shaft has serious backbone, low torque, and a high kick point that produces little spin and low-launching, arrow-straight drives. It can stand up to players with the fastest swings – even better than the Project X HZRDUS Black.

And while this Project X golf shaft is primarily about performance, the folks at True Temper went above and beyond to cultivate an enviable aesthetic, too.

The Project X HZRDUS Smoke Green is also finished with a Smoke Grey and Gamma PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish that positively glows. The Hulk may not turn drives, but it will turn heads.

Where Can You Learn More About These Project X Golf Shafts
Thinking this Project X golf shaft might be for you? Not so fast; it very well might be, but it’s also really only suitable for players with the fastest swing speeds and most aggressive tempos.

Think close to 100 MPH if not faster. This thing is like the HZRDUS Black, but upgraded.

Unless you have a very fast swing, it’s going to feel like you’re swinging a stiff bar of iron. It won’t feel responsive and the low launch won’t give you the carry distance you need.

It’s better to work with a fitter. There are other Project X golf shafts that might suit you better, but until you work with a professional you might never know.

The Connection Between Compressed Air and Tool Change Accuracy

Tool change accuracy in CNC machining centers depends on mechanical alignment, spindle condition, and controller logic. Compressed air rarely gets the same attention, even though automatic tool changers depend on it at every cycle. When air delivery is inconsistent, tool change performance is usually the first place problems appear. This is where a 10 HP […]
