The Fujikura Ventus Blue: The Perfect Middle Ground

For years the Fujikura Ventus line has been hailed as one of the best in the entire sport of golf. Most praise went to the Fujikura Ventus Black for its low-low performance, something craved by golfers with strong, fast swing speeds and tempos.

To the red went a good share of praise from golfers who needed a slightly higher launching shaft that was a little more forgiving, yet still very stable.

Not that the Fujikura Ventus Blue got overshadowed – it didn’t. It’s just that this is the everyman’s Ventus shaft, and here’s why.

Mid Launch, Low Spin Bliss

The Fujikura Ventus Blue is for players that just don’t have the strength or swing speed to swing a Black, but who don’t need the higher-launching performance of the Ventus Red.

It produces a mid-launch profile for extra carry distance, but does not produce extra spin. The benefit to you is that your shots will carry farther (assuming all else is equal) without the excess shot dispersion caused by extra spin.

The Ventus Blue is great for players with swing speeds on the higher end, but not quite at the point where they should be swinging an ultra-stiff, low-low shaft like the Ventus Black.

Ultra-Stiff Tip, Stiff Mid, Firm Butt Section

The Ventus Blue has a stiff profile that also is designed to meet the needs of the widest range of golfers, with an extra stiff tip section that is extremely stable, and which remains stable at the critically important moment of impact.

This is bolstered by the stiff midsection, and the slightly more active butt section, while it doesn’t complicate stability, offers a little more feedback through the swing.

Stabilized with VeloCore+ Technology

As in years past, the Fujikura Ventus Blue is stabilized with VeloCore+ Technology, a multimedia bias core construction that strengthens and stabilizes the shaft.

The key takeaway is that this proprietary technology helps keep the shaft stable and prevents ovalization, even under heavy loads.

This helps minimize shot-to-shot variation, resulting in consistent shot patterns, which is huge for golfers who are looking for extra consistency in the performance of their equipment.

All in all, the Fujikura Ventus Blue is a potentially excellent option for golfers who just don’t have the swing speed to merit the purchase of a Ventus Black, but who aren’t willing to step down to a Ventus Red.

Think the Blue’s Not for You?

If, after reading this, you feel as though the Ventus Blue just isn’t stiff and stable enough for you, or you’re turned off by the higher launch angle, look into the Ventus Black instead.

On the flipside, if the Ventus Blue seems to be too aggressive, and you want a more forgiving, slightly higher launching shaft, look into the Ventus Red.

Fujikura has also relatively recently released another iteration in the Ventus line that was absent in years past: the Fujikura Ventus White.

The Fujikura Ventus White is a much lighter shaft with a softer, more flexible profile that produces more launch and spin while still maintaining the extremely high stability and consistency for which Fujikura Ventus shafts are known.
