Top Selling Points of the Bradford Guardian 3

There are a lot of things to love about the Bradford Guardian 3, one of the company’s best-selling patterns. Among these are the facts that, like other Bradford Knives, they are hand-finished, made in America, and made with top-quality materials.

But, beyond that, we’ve enumerated some of the best features of these popular knives here.

  • The size and weight are perfect. Size and weight will vary very slightly depending on variant, blade profile and handle scales, but the Bradford Guardian 3 is pretty much 6 or 7 inches across the board, with a blade just about 3.5, and weighs around 3 and a half ounces, making it perfectly sized for EDC, which explains why this is one of Bradford Knives’ most popular patterns.
  • MagnaCut steel. The Bradford Guardian 3 sports a blade of MagnaCut steel, an alloy that contains a little more than 10% chromium, with a little bit of niobium and vanadium, both of which yield a very tough steel and which form carbides with carbon. As a result, MagnaCut offers excellent performance with respect to toughness, edge retention and stainless performance.
  • Tough G10 or G-Wood scales. The Guardian 3 is outfitted with G10 scales (or G-Wood scales) both of which are low-maintenance, non-absorbent, and which are incredibly tough and wear resistant. Like Micarta and other modern synthetics, they deliver excellent performance at a relatively low price point.
  • It comes with a leather sheath. Some guys looking for a modern EDC fixed blade would prefer a Kydex sheath, and the versatility offered by Kydex is no joke. All the same, the Guardian 3 comes with a classic leather sheath that offers excellent performance and comfort married to a classic aesthetic.
  • More than one blade profile is available. You can get the Guardian 3 with either a drop point or a sheepsfoot blade that will sport an incredibly tough tip, offering you options. A drop point is better for more general utility as a result of its versatility, whereas a sheepsfoot profile will deliver unmatched toughness.
  • The Bradford Guardian 3 is sabre ground. Many fixed blades are flat ground, which offers fine slicing performance but a slightly more fragile edge. Rather, the Bradford Guardian 3 is saber ground, which imparts a much more resilient edge while still maintaining excellent slicing performance.
  • Practical handle contours and jimping. The Guardian 3 sports a handle shape that is comfortable, ergonomic, and which offers pretty solid non-slip performance in a wide range of conditions. It also sports jimping along the spine which improves control of the knife when it is held in a saber grip.
  • There’s a lanyard hole. It’s a small feature, often added as an afterthought, but it does give you the flexibility to add a lanyard to the knife if you want one, improving both grip and control.
  • The overall pattern is engineered for performance. Lastly, this is one of the most popular Bradford Knives for a reason, and it is because it is practical and unassuming. It might not win any pageants for its flash, but it will perform if you carry it daily and put it to the test.

Why a Regenerative Desiccant Air Dryer Keeps Outdoor Air Lines From Freezing

Outdoor compressed air lines freeze for one reason: the air inside them carries more water vapor than the pipe temperature allows. A regenerative desiccant air dryer removes that vapor before it reaches exposed piping, loading docks, and unheated buildings. Plant managers who wait for the first frozen drip leg end up with stalled actuators, burst […]
