Great Rock Island 1911 Pistols for Concealed Carry

Rock Island is renowned for producing some of the most popular (and successful) 1911 variants in the industry.

But no two are created alike, and your needs will determine which is best for you. So, with no further ado, here are some of the best Rock Island 1911 pistols for concealed carry.

MAP MS 9mm
Superior ergonomics, reliable handling, and 10-round capacity make the MAP MS 9mm a top Rock Island 1911 pistol. This pistol also features a black parkerized finish, a snag-free rear sight, and a lightweight polymer frame.

There are smaller Rock Island Armory pistols for concealed carry, but this one’s 10-rd capacity and 7.43” length overall make it a top contender.

Baby Rock 380ACP
The BBR Standard 380ACP is compact. Fully loaded (7rds) it weighs only 1.62lbs, and it’s only 3.75” long, 1.25” wide, and 4.81” high.

This pistol features highly tactile rubber grips, low-profile angled front sights and rear sights, and CNC machined angle grooves for smooth, reliable cycling when you need it most.

This is the Rock Island 1911 pistol to choose if you need a light, compact version.

Rock Ultra CS 45ACP
At 2.16lbs and 7.32” long overall, the Rock Ultra CS 45ACP is quite a step larger than the BBR Standard 380ACP, but it still offers shooters a lot to love.

It sports a button-rifled barrel, full-length guide rod, adjustable rear sight, and high-visibility front sight, and is finished with a tough parkerized matte coating and G10 grips.

Durable, reliable, and packing a punch with 7rds of 45ACP, this is another top Rock Island 1911 for concealed carry.

TAC Ultra CS 45ACP
The TAC Ultra CS 45ACP is 7.13” long, 1.3” wide, 5” high, and weighs 2.25lbs. It also features a button-rifled barrel and full-length guide rod.

Actually, it has a lot of the same features as the Rock Ultra CS mentioned above, down to the sights and grips – so it’s in the same camp for toughness.

What makes this TAC Ultra a bit different (besides the slightly dissimilar dimensions) is the full rail beneath the slide, which is perfect for mounting lights, lasers, and other shooting accessories.

GI Standard CS 45ACP
The GI (Government-Issued) Standard CS 45ACP is similar to the original GI 1911 in form and function, and sports the same aesthetics, down to beautiful, smooth wood grips.

This compact version is also ideal for concealed carry, with its non-reflective finish, smooth grips, and small size. It’s only 7.13” long, 1.29” wide, 5.12” high, and weighs 2.36lbs. It’s deceptively dense, or shall we say, solid.

This pistol is also California, Massachusetts, and Maryland compliant.
